UPDATE: CBSSports.com's Dennis Dodd spoke with John Beckham, Green-Beckham's high school coach and adoptive father, who denied the Tulsa World report.

The nation's No. 1 recruit, Dorial Green-Beckham, has the college football world scratching their heads wondering where the 6-foot-6, 225 pound wide receiver will sign on National Signing Day?

The standout from Springfield, Mo. has kept his decision-making process under wraps throughout his recruitment, only recently narrowing his list to Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. Which school will add Green-Beckham to their 2012 recruiting class has been a matter of intense debate among recruiting experts for weeks.

A report from Tulsa World reporter John Hoover on Monday morning suggested that Missouri has moved into the top spot and will be Green-Beckham's selection on Wednesday.

"Extremely good source just told me Dorial Green-Beckham to Missouri," Hoover reported from his Twitter account. "Influential visit last weekend. Things can change but I trust him."

The combination of Green-Beckham's potential and the uncertainty regarding his decision will likely lead to plenty of "sourced" reports over the next two days, but one certainly is worth some attention. To catch up on Green-Beckaham's recruitment and learn more about the school's hoping to receive his commitment, check out Stephen Spiewak's profile from Monday at MaxPreps.com.

Fayatteville may be closer to Springfield. 40 miles? That's nice. Dorial Green-Beckham's brother and adopted family are in Springfield, but his biological family is in St. Louis. If he ever hopes to reconnect with them, then Fayatteville is much farther away.

I'm sure DGB really gives a crap about a bunch of people in a comment field stumping for their favorite schools.  My favorite school isn't even in the running, so I don't have a dog in this fight.  I just hope that whatever choice he makes, it's the best one for him.  We sit on our butts at our computers and try to tell a seventeen year old kid what is "right" for him, as if any of us really knows.  Sorry, folks, but it doesn't work that way.

Good luck to DGB wherever he lands.

Yeah, right, Coach Feb. is GREAT. If DGB wants to catch passes he better NOT sign with the Cows. If he signs with Cows he will just see passes thrown to the opponent.

Oklahoma has already got commits from 4 espnu 150 WR recruits. The most ever from any school. So that may not be a good thing for them if trying to convince him to come to Norman, but if somehow he signs with OU, it would be the best WR class of all-time. I personally beiieve its Arkansas, but who knows. He is an amazing talent that anyone would be lucky to have. Good luck to all schools in the running,, BOOMER!!!!!

Coach denies Green-Beckham to Missouri report

I love how when a team fires a coach mid-season, it's just a franchise moving on to better pastures. But if a coach decides to leave a team that had proven time and again during the season that they don't want him there, he's a sleazy, untrustworthy backstabber. Petrino was put in a crap situation, and like many coaches before him — like hall of fame coach Lou Holtz — he got out at the first viable opportunity. I hate it when ignorant people spit back recycled garbage Mark May and Chris Berman said four years ago and think they sound smart. Bravo.

DGB would be smart to pick the Razorbacks. Petrino really likes to throw the ball around. Hogs have a talented senior in Colbi Hamilton to mentor him. Oh, and they return one of the top 3 quarterbacks in the country in Tyler Wilson. Arkansas will vie for SEC and therefore National title next year. Plus, behind Wilson a kid named Brandon Allen has turned a lot of heads in Fayetteville.

No offense to Mizzou, Texas or Oklahoma fans, UA is where it's at.

One other thing, it's about 40 miles closer to Fayetteville than Columbia from Springfield... just sayin'!

i've watched this kid play since his freshman year and he looks like the real deal, only knock on him is he seems to drop the easy catches more often then the hard ones, the reason he wants to stay close to home is cause his younger brother darnell was diagnosed with lukemia last year. so i think its gonna be arkansas or mizzou petrino and stoops came down for a game this year but stoops left pretty early and arkansas has pretty much rolled out the red carpet for him even letting hillcrest play a game in there stadium. apparently this is the only sense of family he has had cause his mom has been in and out of jail due to drugs, so the coach from hillcrest adopted him and all his brothers.  but this kid is not a problem or a diva so wherever he goes they will be very fortunate, weve never had a kid with his talent and size in this area so its been amazing watching him dominate, and set the national receiving record live. i was kinda worried cus he hasnt had to go up against any real talent and was wondering what he would do against top cb talent but he showed in the army all american game by getting the mvp, i really think he will be in the nfl by his junior year. heres hoping he picks mizzou lol!!!!!

Coach K were you in a coma the past 6 years? Texas was only under 500 last season. First time in almost 13 years.

Not to be a buzz kill, but Bob Stoops has accomplished those same things and more at OU. Both Mack and Bob at their current jobs have won 7 bowls, both have won a national championship, Mack has only two more overall wins than Bob but has lost two more than him so his winning record is the same as Bob, under Stoops there have been two heisman winners and two runner ups, he currently has over 20 formal players in the NFL, has had more all americans, has won 7 conference championships (more than any other big 12 program), OU vs. Texas is currently 8-5 so that is not a .500, and everything about stadiums, networks, and cash has more to do with DeLoss Dodds than Mack.
