Texas' 2012 recruiting class, which is already ranked as the second best in the country by MaxPreps, got a bit stronger on Saturday.

Four-star athlete Daje Johnson tweeted on Saturday that he had commited to the Longhorns while visiting the campus this weekend. The announcement makes Johnson the 25th commitment in Texas' class.

Johnson is an all-purpose player that can play either offense or defense for the Longhorns. During his senior year at Pflugerville Hendrickson, Johnson rushed for 2,075 yards and 23 touchdowns, caught another 6 touchdowns, and even returned 3 touchdowns on special teams.

Johnson had previously committed to play at TCU, but it seems his visit to Austin changed his mind.

Though signing day is on Wednesday, it's also possible that Johnson won't be the last commitment Texas lands before then. Linebacker Dalton Santos and defensive end Bryce Cottrell are also in Austin on a visit this weekend. Both players have already committed to Tennessee and Oregon respectively.

Texas lands Daje Johnson

Texas can keep him because if he can't stand by his "commitment" to our university then we don't want him anyways!
