It's safe to say that Land O'Lakes (Fla.) tight end Kent Taylor experienced the highs of recruiting and the lows of playing football.

Thursday afternoon, the 6-foot-5, 220-pounder was presented with his U.S. Army All-American Bowl jersey in a ceremony at his school. He also used the time to announce that he was committing to Florida and the now second-ranked Gators recruiting class. Later that evening Taylor was informed that he was suspended for this week's game according to Florida High School Athletic Association spokesman Corey Sobers.

Taylor was ejected at the end of last week’s 21-10 loss for a personal foul after throwing a punch. According to St. Petersburg Times, that suspension is a level 1 and will allow Taylor to play in the final two games of the regular season.

From high to low, it seems Taylor is already showing his SEC speed. Taylor and Land O’Lakes coach Brian Wachtel did not return requests for comment by the Times.
