Things are not going great in Buckeye-land at the moment. Obviously head coach Jim Tressel is under fire with the NCAA sending the school a notice of allegations and everywhere you turn there's column after column has come out calling for his resignation.
The dark cloud over the program, however, doesn't seem to be as dark to some as Ohio State picked up the commitment of Upper Arlington (Ohio) wide receiver and punter Frank Epitropoulos Tuesday afternoon.
"I chose Ohio State because I believe that it is the best football program in the country with a great coaching staff," Epitropolous told BuckeyeGrove.com. "I feel like I can help them at wide receiver and punter."
Many from outside of the state might question why a recruit would commit at this point in time, especially with offers from Stanford, Tennessee and Michigan State among others. Fact of the matter is Epitropoulous is a legacy at the school, with both his father and brother having played for the Buckeyes.
The 6-foot-3, 195 pound athlete caught 29 passes for 290 yards and five touchdowns as a junior last year. He is the sixth member of Ohio State's class of 2012.
