Arkansas picked up their third commitment in the class of 2012 by dipping into Texas and picking up Port Arthur athlete Nathan Holmes.

"I just think this is the right place for me," Holmes told HawgsIllustrated.com. "It has everything I am looking for in a football school."

The 6-foot-1, 180 pound athlete will primarily play running back at Arkansas but could lineup as a receiver as well. Holmes took in the Razorbacks' scrimmage this past weekend and liked what he saw on offense.

“I like it and I like the way they bring a different style to it with running the I formation," he told the website. "We are just straight option. I want to be able to show what I can do."

Homes rushed for over 800 yards last season despite missing several games due to a concussion. All three of Arkansas' class of 2012 commitments are on offense.
