The state of Florida is known as a recruiting battleground and that was true once again on Tuesday afternoon. Previously committed to Miami, Hallandale (Fla.) cornerback Willie Bailey informed recruiting websites that he had flipped his pledge to Florida.

"I talked with all the coaches and Coach (Will) Muschamp and (defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson)," Bailey told Scout. "Coach Muschamp said he's real excited and ready for me to get up there and be a Gator."

The 6-foot-1, 175 pound corner has made several trips up to Gainesville to see the school and the most recent unofficial visit seemed to have swayed his opinion of the school enough to switch his commitment.

"Last weekend, I visited Florida and I just liked the whole campus and everything else about the school," he told the website. "I'm very close with (recruiting coordinator) Aubrey Hill and T-Rob (Robinson) and I just love all the coaches as a whole and the direction they're going in. I'm very excited. I talked it over with my entire family and they love the Gators."

Bailey is the ninth commitment in the class of 2012 for Muschamp and Florida. He is the first in the secondary to join the Gators' class.
