Louisville just wrapped up their first week of spring practices but head coach Charlie Strong surely didn't mind taking a few moments to celebrate an addition to the class of 2012. Indianapolis (Ind.) offensive tackle Sid Anvoots decided to end the recruiting process early Saturday afternoon and commit to the Cardinals while on an unofficial visit.

"I went home with my dad, compared some notes and we decided we would come down again on Friday because we had kind of a short visit," Anvoots told "Me and my mom came down, saw the academics and felt like I was at home. I felt that way the first time and felt even more that way the second time."

The 6-foot-4, 290 pound tackle picked Louisville in part because of the close proximity to his hometown.

"That definitely helped too because that will make it a lot easier on my whole family when they come down and see games," Anvoots told the website. "It really was the coaching staff and the academics that really sold me."

Anvoots joins defensive tackle Tyrone Pearson in the Cardinals' class of 2012.
