Cyrus Kouandjio pulls stunner, picks Auburn

Cyrus Kouandjio, the nation's No. 3 overall recruit and top offensive tackle, said that his brother Arie Kouandjio -- a redshirt freshman at Alabama -- told him to follow his heart when it came to choosing where to sign today.

There's a lot of Crimson Tide fans out there wishing Arie had offered different advice, because Cyrus's heart has led him to choose the Tide's archrivals at Auburn. At 6'7" and 290 pounds , with an SEC -ready frame and top-grade upper- and lower-body strength, Kouandjio comes as ready-built for a college tackle spot as any prospect in the country.

Kouandjio had been considered an Alabama lean from the moment Arie committed last spring, but took an official visit to Auburn last weekend and came away impressed enough to turn next year's Iron Bowl into a family rivalry game on the field as well as in the stands.
With Kouandjio in place, Auburn will welcome not only the hands-down best offensive line class in the nation for 2011, but one of the best in recent memory. Joining Kouandjio will be No. 3 offensive tackle Christian Westerman , No. 16 guard Thomas O'Reilly , and highly-regarded center Reese Dismukes. The Tigers boasted arguably the nation's best offensive line this season, and if their success on the recruiting trail is any indication, they could boast the same honor again in the near future.

Easy there princess, no need in calling names.  I am going to assume you meant butt wipe rather than butt whip, because butt whip doesn't make a whole lot of sense.  Anyway, back to the reason I responded.  The recruiting stuff is great fun and gives us something to brag about until the season starts, but other than that, it really doesn't mean a whole lot.  The real recruits will show themselves once they get rolling in their teams system.  Many washout, some pan out.  Most coaches recruit kids that fit into their scheme and fill a void that they have.  Other coaches just go after all the top name kids whether they fit nicely or not.  Awbarn tends to do the latter, that means the last thing I typed, just incase you were wondering if I was talking about something you climb to get in your sisters window.  Seriously though, we will see how well the class is in a couple of years.  Ask Mark Ingram, Rolando McClain, and Javier Arenas about the relevance of how many stars you get.

Auburn should do pretty well, they cleared a lot of cap space with Cam going Pro.

OK, lets get this straight. Someone is stupid enough to believe that Auburn would try to pay the brother of an Alabama player?? Maybe that would not happen because chances are the Alabama brother would turn them in. DUH.  You have to be a moron.

Cry me a river red tide

It's tough not to see the guy's point. Auburn was in relative obscurity over the past five years, then the Tigers get ahold of the best player in the country, who is involved in a pay-for-play scandal.

Then, in the very next recruiting class, Auburn lands the No. 1 player in the country when the Tigers weren't even on his radar 2-3 weeks ago. It is a little odd. Hopefully it's on the up-and-up.

3 championships, all eventually pulled once shown Bobby Lowder paid Cammy Newton to win some games.

Sad, really.

Follow the money? Cry me a river you crimson butt whip. Ha ha ha. We may have an off year next year with 8 to 10 wins. But after that, with the best running back in the country with Dyer, behind the upcoming offensive line, we will win 3 championships in a row. Saban is gone to the Cowboys as soon as the lockout is over. So Bamers, cry me a river.

Also, take that Russellville turn coat and stick him in your donkey. I know for a fact he was asking for money. First, he is not worth it. Second, he should be the reason Alabama finally gets that death penalty.
